I get the question pretty often - "what time of the day should I workout?"... Let me first start off by saying, fit exercise into your schedule any time you can.
So... is there a certain hour that will help you get the best results as far as weight loss, mood benefit, and energy gain?? YES!
Those of us who aren’t morning people are going to HATE me right here... it's true, evidence shows that the best time to get out there and get active is in the morning, for a number of both physical and psychological reasons. Hear me out!...
• Morning exercisers are more likely to stick to their routine, mostly due to the fact that

• Exercising in the morning also improves sleep, which promotes weight loss even more by regulating the hormones associated with appetite. Most of us are so rushed throughout the day that it gets tempting to leave exercise until its late—that it's last thing we fit in before crashing for the night. This actually has a negative impact on our sleep quality. Our body temperature rises when we exercise, and takes as long as six hours to dip back down to normal—a factor that can delay our body literally “cooling down” for sleep.
• Morning exercise boosts your metabolism, and your mood, for the rest of the day. This leads to higher daytime energy levels, which make you more likely to stay active during the rest of the day.
• All that oxygen heading to your brain will also boost your mental sharpness for the rest of the day, meaning that you’ll have better performance at work. As opposed to getting up and then sitting for eight hours a day, which is the sure way to kill your energy levels by the time you get off of work.
• Due to the way exercise moderates appetite and raises serotonin levels in the brain, exercising in the morning is the perfect way to curb junk food cravings throughout the day.
I hope this helps you out in staying consistent with your routine.
