10 Simple Diet Tips You Can Start Using TODAY!(Part 1)

With a Million different theories out there, its easy to get confused on what to eat, when to eat it, and the best practices to follow when trying to lose weight or get your #Abs right.

Here's some simple tips I use that come with major Results:

1) Think long term! We all want results asap, but think about it... you didn't gain the weight overnight, so it's going to take some time to come off. Stay patient, and stay focussed on the little daily decisions. They add up for big changes.

2) Drink up. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. This helps to speed up your weight loss big time! Plus, it takes up space in your stomach, so you'll feel fuller and take in less calories.

3) Skip the energy drinks and caffeinated beverages. When
you workout and eat healthy consistently, naturally you'll have a lot more energy.

4) Change your mindset. Don't look at it as a "diet".... “I’m starting a diet” already implies it'll eventually come to an end. "I'm changing how I eat" can last a lifetime.

5) Eat often. We make the worst food choices when we’re starving. Eat every 3 hours, 5-6 small meals per day.

6) Practice moderation when eating out. When you go out to eat at a restaurant, take half of it home with you for left-overs. The portion sizes at almost every restaurant are anywhere from 2-4x the recommended portion size. So, even if you get a salad, it kind of defeats the purpose and will kill your results.

BONUS! Skip the bread, chips and salsa, appetizers. When they offer to bring you water, have them add lemon for extra flavor.

7) Prepare your own meals ahead and bring them to work with you. This saves you a LOT of money. When I used to eat out daily while at work or order in, it would cost me anywhere from $10-$20 per day just for lunch and snacks.

8) Keep 2-3 different healthy snacks at work(fruits, nuts, yogurt, etc..). This way, when you get a craving, you won’t just run out and grab whatever is convenient at the time. The less emotional decisions you have to make throughout the day when it comes to your food choices, the better.

9) Make a grocery list. Do your grocery shopping with a list and a time limit, this way you’re less likely to stray into the processed food section.

10) Schedule a cheat meal. This will give you something to look forward to for eating clean all week. Limit it to 1 cheat meal where you go all out, enjoy the hell out of it, and then get back to your routine. You’ve got goals to accomplish!
