5 Secrets to Kick Bad Eating Habits Today

If you want to change your eating habits around, you have to first kick some of bad habits that are holding you down.

The key here is gonna be making your WHY-power stronger than your excuses.

  • Why are you doing this? 
  • How will your life change when you reach your goal? 
  • What's going to make you do it on the days you DON'T feel like doing it?

Here's 5 of my best strategies:

1. What are your Triggers? Look at your bad eating habits and identify what triggers them.

Just by thinking about these things, you're more aware of what decisions you need to work on changing going forward.
  • Are you more likely to eat "bad" foods when you hang with certain people?
  • Is there a certain time when you go to grab something sweet?
  • What emotions tend to make you want to splurge and not care what's going into your mouth?
  • When do you experience these emotions?

2. Get it out of the House.
If you want to stop eating junk food, remove it from your house and stop buying it. It's really that simple. The rest of your family will thank you when they're living a longer, healthier life. Get rid of whatever enables your bad food choices.


3. Swap It. Look at some of the foods you want to stop eating. How can you replace them with healthier options? For me, my sweet tooth used to get the best of me. I ended up swapping my ice-cream addiction for a chocolate superfood smoothie. Go to the supermarket and see what foods you can replace with healthier options.

4. Ease Into It. Just like when you go to the beach, and first dip in your toes to test how cold the water is. Then you walk in up to your knees, waist, chest, before you're finally fully in. It's not easy to change the way you eat overnight. You've had some of your not so good eating habits for most of your life. 

5. Take The Leap! Not everyone is the same. For some people it's easier to just dive right in with no hesitation. 
I want you to ask yourself, "Where can I start slow and hold myself accountable?"

    1. I used to have the same habit. Ice cream always got the best of me, lol. Just being aware of when and where your "bad habits" kick in is half the battle Kala. You got this!!!
